Educator of the Ages 

What does it mean to be an educator? I think the place to start is with a definition of education. A simple definition of education is “the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction”, but anyone who is a teacher knows that while this is the beginning of a definition, it is no where close to a complete understanding of what it means to “teach” someone. In fact, to really get to the heart of the matter, I think the best place to establish a definition on education is to study the life of the greatest educator who ever lived – Jesus Christ. No matter what one’s faith story is, there is no denying that he was the GREATEST EDUCATOR who ever lived.

His teaching transformed simple fishermen into powerful communicators. His lessons brought life to the weary, the brokenhearted, the dejected and the destitute. His instruction changed people FOREVER!  This is what it means to be an educator!
