Are you tired of trying to get it right? I mean, you are working hard. You are trying to be a good Christian, but you find yourself always coming up a little short. In a world where we are constantly bombarded with “perfection” via media, especially social media, it is no wonder that we fight a constant need to get it “all right’, to be perfect! 

Well, I have good news and bad news! The bad news is you will NEVER get it right! You can work hard at it, but it will NEVER happen. The GOOD news is you are RIGHT if you are a Christ-follower! This paradoxical idea is that although you can’t get it RIGHT, you can BE RIGHT! It is a simple act of F A I T H! By placing FAITH alone in the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ, you can have a new identity. One that is seen as Righteous before a Holy God. While this may seem hard to believe, it IS true IF you believe. In fact, this is what the gospel is all about: salvation to everyone who believes!  As Paul explains in Romans 1:17, “this Good News (gospel) tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith.” (NLT) 

If getting everything right all of the time is your goal, you will ALWAYS be frustrated, but if you are willing, you can give Him your brokenness and receive His righteousness. In other words, salvation means: when God looks at you, He sees Christ’s righteousness instead of your sin, and that’s a pretty AMAZING trade!
